Secrets To Dog Training: Stop Your Dog's Behavior Problems!

It was never meant to be like this.

You fell in love with your dog from the first moment he bounced into your life—but you never thought he would be such a handful.

If he’s not ripping your shoes to shreds, barking all night long or fighting other dogs in the neighbourhood, he’s out there creating a mess somewhere and generally being a chaotic handful.

It’s exhausting to deal with—and no matter what you try, your dog won’t listen! And despite being a holy terror, he knows how to give you those big ole puppy dog eyes that make you forget everything....

...until the next time he’s up all night barking. Oh boy, what are you going to do? You’ve tried everything—but Fido’s immune to just about everything you’ve tried—and it’s starting to look like the end of the road.

The good news is that you’re not alone!

My story is just like yours. I’m a dog person, and I thought I could control all dogs—hey, it’s my job!—but I had a dog, Barrett, who was all the above and much, much more. In short, he was a terror.

It drove me insane!

If I, a professional dog trainer, had this huge problem with Barrett—what hope has a regular person with other commitments got?

So what are you doing wrong?

Why won’t your pet listen to you?

How much more frustration and how many more ruined pairs of shoes can you take?

Behind all these feelings lies the feeling that maybe it’s simply not worth it. Maybe it’s time to give up—as much as you love your dog, it’s too much hassle...

I felt like that too – but I couldn’t give up on Barrett. I decided to research and find out 100% effective techniques that work quickly and empower ALL dog owners to enjoy a great relationship with their dogs—as the master and "leader of the pack"

How to Get a Puppy to Stop Barking at Night

To stop your puppy from barking at night, you need to discourage this unwanted behavior through training and exercise. It is normal for young puppies to want to be with their family at all times, so that your puppy can bark for your attention during the night. By ignoring his barking and giving him a spacious bathroom breaks for his age, your puppy must stop nightly barking quickly so that you can get a good night's sleep.

Schedule Nighttime Bathroom Breaks.
Your puppy can bark at night because he needs to eliminate. Puppies have small bladders and may need at least one pause during the night until they become adults.
Most puppies can hold their urine for about an hour for each month of their age, according to the Humane Society of the United States. For example, a 3-month-old puppy can go for three hours between the bathroom breaks.
Take your puppy outside quickly and calmly so that he does not associate the bathroom break with playing time.
Reduce your puppy's need to go so often at night by removing his water bowl about two hours before bedtime.
Take your puppy for a bathroom break right before bedtime.

Keep your puppy close
Puppies can bark at night because they are lonely. It is instinctive for a puppy to want to sleep near the other members of his family, including you, for safety. If you put your puppy in a crate at night, place the box in your room or an adjoining bathroom where your dog can see and hear. In this way he will not feel that he is alone and can remain calm for the night, advises.

Ignore your puppy's barking
When your puppy starts barking at night, ignore him until he stops. Avoid talking, petting or otherwise fascinating your pup when he barks, even if it is for a longer period of time, because this will teach him that persistent barking will get him your attention.
If your puppy barks when you put him in the crate, use him to slowly lock up by rewarding him with treats if you crate him for up to 30 minutes at a time during the day, recommends the Animal Humane Society. Only reward him when he is quiet. Soon he will learn that being in the coffin is a good thing and will not bark when locked up at night.

Warning!!!
Do not scream or punish your puppy in any other way if he barks at night. Not only will this reinforce negative behavior, but it can cause him to fear you.

The exercise of your Pooch Daily.
If your puppy is filled with accumulated energy, he may bark during the night because he is bored.
Exercising your puppy with a daily walk and some interactive obedience training to challenge your pooch both mentally and physically, Way recommends the Cesar's website.
Some puppies can enjoy agility training or the learning flock.
Take care of your dog with some toys to play with when you are not at home, including puzzle and chew toys. The toy will keep him busy and get his attention.

Keep the sleeping area Quiet
Place your puppy's bed or crate in an area of your home that is quiet and away from any distractions.
Close your curtains so that your puppy is not awakened by the rising sun or other distractions outside.
Cover your puppy's crate with a cloth or blanket to keep its sleeping area dark.
Play soft classical music or use a white noise machine to keep your puppy quiet at night, advises the Whole Dog Journal.
